Social media can be an incredibly useful tool in bringing awareness to your cause or putting pressure on authority to evoke change.

For example, students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida were victims of a vicious school shooting that killed 17 students and staff members on February 14th, 2018. Since then, these teens have used social media to pave their own way to change by informing the public and garnering support, holding elected officials accountable, and calling for boycotts of organizations who receive funding from.
